3Shape's CAMbridgeTM is a software add-on module to DentalSystem. CAMbridge enables fully automated manufacturing of dental restorations by automatic preparation of the completed CAD design for milling, wax printers and model making machines, and laser sintering. CAMbridgeTM includes features for automatic preparation of the completed design including the addition of sprues, drops and optimal placement in the blank for milling. |
As restoration orders are ready for manufacturing the completed designs are automatically prepared for the selected material and corresponding manufacturing equipment. CAMbridgeTM supports full integration with 3Shape's Dental SystemTM but can also handle non-3Shape generated STL files. |

3Shape offers a CAM software with one of the
market's fastest milling strategies, with razor sharp margins and
perfect fit removing the need for manual finishing. CAMbridge™
offers milling strategies for 3.5-axis machining and 3+1, 3+2
machining for selected 4 and 5 axes milling machines. The software
can seamlessly transfer files and control to the machine.
Calculation of milling strategies for a full blank is typically
completed in 150 seconds.
For rapid prototyping machines, such as wax printers
and model making machines, CAMbridge can automatically perform all
preparation steps, including optimal placement, orientation,
support generation and communication with the machine. The new
adaptive grouping enables automatic clustering of cases, e.g. from
the same lab, for efficient handling. The cluster border and
cluster name, e.g. the lab name, is also printed for fast
identification.
Full automated preparation of completed designs for
Laser sintering machines is also available, including optimal
placement, unique support generation and ID tags for easy
identification. The unique support structure suppresses the warping
during the sintering process, but is still easy to remove. Adaptive
grouping is also provided for laser sintering.
